Industry Event | DIAlogue PM Destination Hong Kong

Looks set to be a great event. Our last CEO Kiri Delly will be on the panel, talking about initiatives to support creative industries engaging with Asia, including the Common Threads project.

Starting a local design enterprise requires creativity, vision, finance and sheer hard work. So if you’ve come this far, where to next?

For Australian designers, taking your first steps into the global marketplace can be daunting. How do you make a start? When is the right time? What about all the business paperwork? Help is at hand!

In collaboration with Invest HK, RMIT University and Creative Victoria, we’ve brought together an expert panel to help you discover ways to ensure a successful foray into the Asian market – via Hong Kong.

Join us to find out just what it takes to establish your design enterprise in Asia, from the nuts and bolts and getting started on the ground, with case studies and stories from those who have lived the experience.

Our panel will share their key insights at this exclusive event.

John Barclay, Managing Director of Primasia Corporate Services Limited will share his experience in helping start-ups navigate tax structures and business models.

Doris Fong, Head of Creative Industries, Invest Hong Kong, will talk about the latest creative industries and market insight in Hong Kong.

Michael Hudson, Director at Creative Victoria  and Kiri Delly, Deputy Head – Industry Engagement, RMIT School of Fashion and Textiles will talk about initiatives to support creative industries engaging with Asia.

Dave Roper, Co Founder of Crumpler and Dominic Russo, CEO and Managing Director of Diadem DDM will share their first hand knowledge of setting up in Hong Kong.

MC Claire Beale is the current DIA Victoria Tasmania branch president, an academic at RMIT, and curious about enabling pathways for designers to develop their business in Asia.

DIAlogue PM is in keeping with the DIA's commitment to promote design as a profession and a core contributor to the quality of business, society and our environment. This is an official DIA Accredited Designer™ presentation and will accrue 6 CPD points towards DIA Accredited Designer status.
