Australian Consumer Law Review
The Consumer Affairs Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) have released an Interim Report calling for submissions on the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Review. The report identifies a range of issues and seeks views on potential options for reform. The report can be viewed by the link below.

The review is considering the effectiveness of the current laws and their administration, and whether the law is sufficiently flexible to address new and emerging issues. Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback on the Interim Report on whether the law is working effectively and what could be improved. Submissions close Friday 9 December 2016.
CAANZ will present consumer affairs Ministers with a Final Report by March 2017 that will make findings and present options to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ACL, the first review of the ACL since it commenced on 1 January 2011.
