Through a longstanding partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the brand actively empowers survivors of violence in Sri Lanka by engaging them in the product development process and offering mentoring programs that build skills in textile craftsmanship and fashion design. This commitment was showcased at Melbourne Fashion Week 2026 at the Maker’s Lane Runway, where the collection incorporated handwoven fabrics created by survivors sheltered at Women’s Development Centre monitored by UNFPA.
Renowned for its bespoke designer womenswear, Amilani Perera has been a consistent presence at Colombo Fashion Week since 2013. The brand has expanded its international footprint through showcases, including a partnership with United Nations Asia Pacific to present at the Ultra Luxe Fashion Show in Singapore in 2024. It was also the only Sri Lankan brand featured at Asian Designer Week 2016 in New Delhi and showcased its Spring/Summer 2017 collection at USA–Sri Lanka Fashion Week in New York.
Further cementing its influence within the fashion industry, Amilani Perera serves as the official designer for Airport & Aviation Services of Sri Lanka.
Founder Amilani Perera is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore, and brings extensive experience across the global fashion and garment industry. Her professional background includes designing for MAS Holdings’ amanté lingerie brand and serving as a design consultant for Arvind Lifestyle Brands in Bangalore, India.
