Digital fabrics are the virtual equivalent of real fabrics. When digitally rendered on a computer under different lighting and environmental conditions they behave exactly as a real fabric does in the real world.

Bandicoot provides 3 products to customers :

Shimmer Scan: Our key product that allows customers to upload photos of their fabric to our cloud servers for processing into texture files. These texture files are in industry standard format and can be downloaded and imported into 3rd party 3D design software (e.g. Adobe Substance, CLO3D, Browzwear).

Shimmer View: Uses the PBR texture files output from Shimmer Scan and allows customers to display interactive images of fabrics online. Shimmer Views differ from a traditional static image by conveying not just the colour of a fabric, but also giving a deep sense of the texture along with a true sense of how a fabric behaves under light. We also provide a set of high-quality, high-resolution static 'hero' images of fabrics, rendered out from the same set PBR textures files output from Shimmer Scan. The resulting images are delivered in a standard format that can easily be used to create stunning marketing brochures and presentations.

Shimmer Tile: Ensures that digitised fabrics are 3D ready for import into all leading 3D design platforms. It provides high quality, seamless tiling of a digital fabric swatch.
