PhD research at Curtin University, Western Australia, into the natural dye properties of Corymbia calophylla kino (Marri gum) on natural fibres. This study, commenced in 2022, explores the phenolic chemistry, dye characterisation and fastness of a range of Marri gum dyes as environmentally-friendly alternatives to synthetic colourants for a more sustainable Australian textile industry.
