The Energy Efficiency Council's National Energy Efficiency Forum: Managing gas price shocks will examine the causes of rising gas prices, the policy responses available to government, and options for large gas users to reduce their exposure to gas prices through energy efficiency and fuel switching.
Focused on briefing policymakers, energy efficiency professionals and energy users alike, the National Energy Efficiency Forum: Managing gas price shocks will bring together leading decision makers and experts for a wide ranging discussion on this critical issue:
- Keynote address from Josh Frydenberg, Federal Minister for the Environment and Energy
- Expert presentations focused on opportunities for industry to manage increased gas costs through smart energy use, including Innes Willox, Chief Executive, Ai Group, Amandine Denis-Ryan, Acting Chief Executive Officer, ClimateWorks Australia.
- Ben Cirulis, Acting Strategic Delivery Manager from NSW Office of Environment & Heritage will provide a briefing on the big gas savings unlocked by NSW energy users through smart investments in metering, maintenance and high efficiency equipment.
The Forum will also include an update on Victorian Government support for gas users seeking to improve their energy efficiency. This high profile luncheon will be followed by networking drinks with executives and dignitaries.
