THE TEXTILE & FASHION HUB
The Textile & Fashion Hub is a collaboration between the Australian Government /AusIndustry, Kangan Institute and the former TFIA. The Textile & Fashion Hub is all about increasing our industry's capability. A centralised facility aimed at supporting textile & fashion SMEs and offering access to the latest machinery and technology as well as the opportunity for participants to develop skills, conduct R&D, undertake sample production and network with others in the industry.
Energy & Materials Efficiency
This program was led by the former TFIA to help Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Manufacturers and their supply chains to be more resilient and competitive through energy and materials efficiency. As a result, several TCF businesses cut their costs and improved their environmental performance through resource efficiency. The program has concluded, however many resources are now available to help develop knowledge and skills for companies aiming to reduce their energy and materials costs.
M-TEX brings together proven innovative textiles, clothing and footwear (TCF) firms with research organisations, and matches them with mineral and resources industry practitioners to help develop and implement innovative, high-value TCF solutions for technical and OHS problems being confronted in the mineral and resources sector.
