Tell us about the collection presented at MBFWA? What was the inspiration & design process behind the range?

We are particularly excited about our third partnership frame ‘Big Mamma’ from the Bec & Bridge collaboration which showcased on the first day of MBFWA and on the Bec & Bridge runway. Sam and the Bec & Bridge team worked together and were inspired by the oversized vintage of the 70’s surf era/ culture to create an iconic and instantly recognisable frame.

The PE Nation collab launched on the official runway for MBFWA and Weekend Edition with Pared Creative Director, Sam Baker, worked with P.E. Nation founders, Pip & Claire to create the ideal frames to complement PE Nation’s signature sports-meets-fashion aesthetic.

Our core range developed and designed by Creative Director Sam Stevenson - Baker is a combination of sports luxe meeting Pared DNA Vintage oversized frames. Here the core range features large oversize shields and sporty cat eyes combined with 70’s vintage oversized frames. Key colourways include a new peacock acetate, cappuccino beige a delicious tortoise brown and bold bright accents.

What is next for Pared Eyewear? Any exciting collaborations or events on the horizon that we should look out for?

It is Pared’s goal to continue to build our collaborations and partnerships with other amazing brands, as well as grow our international business become the number one fashion eyewear brand in the world; a big gesture but something we know we can achieve. We have an exciting collaboration with an Australian designer launching on the runway at New York Fashion Week plus two new exciting collaborations with International designers on the horizon.

In terms of design Pared aims to always try new styles, colours, patterns and techniques in order to break through this industry mould. Sam will take a trend and make it her own, holding design integrity as core to her practice. It is better to be bold and trial and error than to pump out the same styles every other brand is doing.
