Update | Stage 4 Lockdowns in Victoria for TCF Industry

Under Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ Restrictions the default is that workplaces in metropolitan Melbourne are closed unless the workplace is part of a permitted industry as set out in the guidelines. All Victorians are required to work from home, except where this is not practicable. Sole operators can continue to operate, if they do not have contact with the public, or with people other than those persons living in their primary household.

Update | Stage 4 Lockdowns in Victoria for TCF Industry

Updated 17.08.2020

Please note that the most recent updated list of permitted Work Premises from 23:59 on 13 August is HERE.

Only manufacturing of medical equipment, consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE), including the manufacturing and supply of cloth masks and required raw materials is permitted under Stage 4.

No exemptions have been provided to any manufacturing industry that is not included on the Permitted Work Premises list. AFC have queried in relation to the questionable viability for many businesses to operate only to produce PPE or Cloth Masks, however the response as been that any exemptions relating to minimum viable production volumes would have the potential to lead to a lack of clarity and difficulty regarding enforcement. The manufacturing of other goods not critical, urgent or essential is not permitted.
