BUAI is a contemporary Australian fashion house founded and creatively directed by Lukas Vincent, treating clothing as a tool for self-fashioning and each collection as part of a continuing archive. Working across menswear, womenswear, bags, footwear and accessories, the house explores how identity is constructed through dress, ritual and inheritance. Its design methodology, Observation, Adoption, Identity, translates these observations into considered garments and objects. Formed on Australia’s southern surf coast and shaped by experiences across New York, Paris and South America, BUAI embraces a perspective that belongs to no single place.

Vincent was named GQ Australia Designer of the Year in 2017 and was an Australian regional winner and international finalist of the International Woolmark Prize in 2016/17. His previous label, ex infinitas, was presented on the official Paris Fashion Week schedule.
