Miimi & Jiinda is an Aboriginal-owned Australian fashion and art house grounded in Gumbaynggirr Country, bringing original artwork, culture and contemporary fashion together.

Miimi & Jiinda is a matriarchal Aboriginal lifestyle brand born on Gumbaynggirr Country, founded by proud Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Dunghutti woman Melissa Greenwood. Celebrating art, fashion, story and culture, the brand is shaped by the creative bond between Melissa and her mother, Lauren Jarrett, a Stolen Generations survivor, cultural custodian and lifelong artist.

Raised in culture, Melissa grew up painting and weaving alongside her mother, practices that now form the foundation of Miimi & Jiinda’s distinctive aesthetic. Established in 2018, the brand emerged from their shared desire to transform a lifelong creative practice into a contemporary expression of ancestry, storytelling and the strength of First Nations women.

Named after the Gumbaynggirr words for Mother and Sister, Miimi & Jiinda celebrates the deep feminine strength that guides their lives and creative practice. Through wearable art, fashion and objects, the brand weaves together past, present and future, guided by cultural integrity, community, slowness and intention. Each piece is created as a cultural offering and an act of storytelling, honouring the resilience, knowledge and enduring legacy of First Nations women.
