Alibaba Group and AFC warmly invite you to a special seminar held alongside the Alibaba E-Commerce Expo in Sydney to educate Australian fashion retailers and brands on opportunities in the China export and tourism retail markets.


China's fashion industry has overtaken the U.S. as the world’s largest fashion market. Last year during Alibaba’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival gross merchandise value reached USD30.8 billion in just 24 hours with fashion being a major category across the online marketplaces.


Tourism from China to Australia also continues to grow at a rapid pace. Inbound tourists from China numbered more than 1.4 million last year and continue to be the number one spenders per capita when visiting Australia.


This workshop will provide Australian fashion retailers and brands with an understanding of Alibaba Group's channels, how to connect with some of the 600 million consumers using its China retail marketplaces, and opportunities to accept payments from Chinese visitors via Alipay.

Once you arrive, head to the registration desk at Hall 4, level 2 to pick up your Workshop access badge. 


Then head over to Hall 3 level 1 for the seminar at Threatre II: Cloud Theatre.


We advise to allow 15 minutes before the session starts to make your way through the venue.
