Over the last few months City of Sydney supported the Australian Fashion Council to put on a series of workshops catered to emerging fashion labels and designed to support growth of these early stage businesses in the industry.
The workshops covered Wholesale Strategies facilitated by Amy Farrell from The Fashion Futurist, Fashion IP facilitated by Justin Cudmore from Marque Lawyers, PR Strategies facilitated by Gaby Howard from Flaunter and Ethical Supply Chains facilitated by Melinda Tually from Ndless The New Normal.
Capped at 15 attendees to provide a bespoke learning environment, the workshops were tailored to offer practical advice suited to businesses that have only been established for 2-5 years.
These workshops along with the AFC Curated program are a part of a greater initiative to bridge the gap from ‘emerging’ to ‘established’ and see more labels succeed in building and growing sustainable and profitable businesses.
The Australian Fashion Council together with City of Sydney will continue with a new series of workshops for emerging labels over the next 12 months.
