The National Wool Museum are pleased to announce the Top 21 designers in the We the Makers Designer Showcase. After many entries, coming in from all over Australia and around the world, Judges were overwhelmed with the quality of entries and the mindfulness of the designs.

Judges were impressed by all designs submitted, the stories they told and their innovative use of textiles.
The Designer Showcase called on emerging and established designers to present a “look” that engaged with the festival theme “Design for the Future: Sustainable and Ethical Textiles and Fashion.”

The first round of judging took place in late April. Each of the Top 21 remain in the running for the major overall prize of $10,000 and for the People’s Choice prize of $2,000.

The Top 21 will be showcased in the We The Makers exhibition. The digital exhibition will be launching in late June with the potential of a physical exhibition when the museum reopens.

More information on the festival will be coming soon.
