The Australian Fashion Council (AFC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Leila Naja Hibri as its CEO Elect effective February 2020.
AFC Co-Chairs Edwina McCann and John Condilis said Naja Hibri was chosen because of her excellent track record in business, her passion for learning and mentoring and the leadership she has demonstrated in the industry.
Naja Hibri, who until recently, was the General Manager at Australian fashion accessories label Helen Kaminski and a Member of the Board of Directors of HKJC - a Tokyo based joint venture company with Yagi Tsusho Limited, has a background in Economics and Accounting and over 15 years’ experience in luxury and premium brand management and development across APAC, Europe and North America. She has worked with organizations such as Arthur Anderson, The United Nations, Prada and Luxottica and led teams in Sydney, Auckland, London, New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Naja Hibri has been actively involved with the AFC since its inception and was invited to join its Board of Directors in 2018.
