Australian Fashion Council (AFC) and Phillips Ormonde Fitzpatrick (POF) invite you to join us for an Industry Panel and Networking session on Thursday, 21 November in Melbourne.
Facilitated by AFC’s CEO David Giles-Kaye, we’ll be delving into the topic of 'copy cats' in the Fashion Industry.
To tackle this, we'll be joined by speakers from iconic fashion brands including; Sai-Wai Foo – HR & Operations Manager at Toni Maticevski, and David Annals – Brand Protection Manager at Nike Pacific. POF Partner, Adrian Crooks will also be there to provide Intellectual Property Law expertise.
The key areas we will cover include:
Challenges faced by designers with copycats
How successful brands combat knockoffs
How the legal system can be used to protect designers
Where the gaps are...
We will then open the floor to the audience for some Q&A. The panel will be followed by networking drinks and the opportunity to meet with the panellists and fellow industry members.
