In line with this year’s Fashion Revolution week, AFC Members David Jones have set the bar high for department stores both local and global. With a campaign sharing the stories of some amazing local Australian labels, the team at David Jones took transparency one step further, publishing an interactive map releasing the locations and details of their Tier One factory list, the suppliers worldwide responsible for the manufacturing of David Jones products.
In line with Fashion Revolution Week this year AFC Members ELK have released a 124 page, in-depth report providing complete business transparency, from internal operations, to exploring all fabrications and materials used, to listing their tier one suppliers. Co-founders Marnie & Adam seek to share their journey and by doing so open up the conversation with their customers, business partners and team. The Transparency Report proposes goals, celebrates achievements in their ethical and environmental mission and highlights to all, the areas where their business and the industry, needs to improve.
Fashion Revolution’s Fashion Transparency Index 2019 reviews and ranks 200 of the biggest global fashion and apparel brands and retailers according to how much information they disclose about their suppliers, supply chain policies and practices, and social and environmental impact.
Textile Exchange joined forces with KPMG LLP, a leading global advisory firm, to develop Threading the Needle: Weaving SDGs in the Textile, Retail, and Apparel industry.
