Taught myself to sew and deign, formally a mechanical designer/sports photographer with a love for men's short shorts, but as i was a very large size i couldn't buy what i wanted, so i decided there was an opportunity to make and sell my own. Today i cover sizes from Small to triple extra large as standard, but i can do up to a size 5XL across most of my range. Future plans its to extend this to all the shorts range.
I have dabbled in kids wear, mainly as nieces and nephews were growing up, they are now all adults, so i have moved away from this market but still have patterns especially in my shorts ranges for both boys and girls.

Kristy Dickinson, a proud Wiradjuri woman, is the creative force behind Haus of Dizzy, a jewellery brand that champions Indigenous culture and inspires empowerment and joy in its wearers. We are clothing manufacturers with a difference, providing trafficking survivors and other at risk and vulnerable workers in Cambodia with training, support and safe employment in our ethical and sustainable factory.
We aim to disrupt the global clothing manufacturing model where thousands of workers are forced into unsafe, overcrowded workplaces to mass produce low quality garments, worn for a season and tossed.
This large scale “take make discard” model is not ethical for workers, nor sustainable for the planet. Instead, we are creating a network of small, localised digitally enabled sewing hubs with 30-50 workers each supporting a team of outworkers sewing from home in neighbouring communities. All producing quality garments, adopting good environmental practices and paying workers a living wage.
Our subsidiary, Avodah Manufacturing (Cambodia) works with Cambodian social justice and rescue agencies who rescue women from trafficking and exploitation and provide counselling, education and health support. When these women are ready to be reintegrated into the community and take on full time employment, they require training and a nurturing, supportive work environment. This is what Avodah Manufacturing (Cambodia) offers.
